Cellular resonance involves a harmonious interaction of many areas of electromagnetic radiation. Aging and disease disrupts this harmony. Cellular biocommunication systems exhibit biophysical mechanisms that include biophoton oscillations and electrical activity. All living organisms function with electrical processes and changing the electrical environment of cells has profound effects on physiological functions. There are many interventions in medicine that have an effect by altering cellular bioresonance, most often aspects of bioelectrical phenomena. Biophysics has defined alterations in biological microelectric circuits as a concomitant of disease and premature aging. Earlier studies by one of the authors and his colleagues1 have demonstrated the novel treatment effects of small voltage direct current on malignancy in animals and humans1. Alterations in biological microelectricity can impair the function of ion channels, mitochondria and generation of free radicals can precipitate oxidative tissue stress, which is a key factor in the aging process. While microelectricity is a key component of cellular cognition or intelligence, many other factors operate. Electrical events and substrates for these events, most notably nutrients, work in concert to control a vast array of body functions, including enzyme activity, repair functions and the genetic control of the transcription and replication of DNA. While an electron influx can potentially reduce oxidative damage to tissues, this beneficial effect can be amplified by the use of REDOX balanced antioxidant nutrients. The synergistic value of nutraceutical antioxidant administration with electrical therapy, such as ion magnum therapy, is one only example of how biophysics and nutritional therapy act in concert. Cellular function can be enhanced by elimination of toxins from the body and convenient therapeutic approaches include the use of natural chelating agents and herbal or botanical combinations that assist in body cleansing. Optimum cellular structure that promotes electrical conductivity involves the maintenance of cell membrane phospholipids, which can be supported by supplementation with omega 3 fatty acids. Bioresonance therapy has become popular among sports medicine professionals and it is highly valued in medical spas that offer treatments to individuals with excessive visceral fat or esthetic skin problems, such as photoaging. While the mechanism of adipose tissue reduction with electrical treatments is subject to incomplete understanding, there is an additive benefit of using natural compounds that may enhance the oxidation of fat and act against insulin resistance, e.g. fucoxanthin, green tea polyphenols, EPA and chlorogenic acid. Recent research has identified the value of fucoxanthins, which are ubiquitous in brown algae. Japanese researchers have shown that the fucoxanthin components of Undaria spp. (Wakame seaweed) may cause up to a 10% weight loss in experimental animals by direct effects on shrinking abdominal fat stores. Fucoxanthin appears to stimulate proteins (Uncoupling protein-1) that cause the oxidation of fat and its conversion to energy or heat (thermogenesis). The ability of microelectricity to alter these types of biochemical cascades remains underexplored. In summary, there are several exciting and novel approaches with the use of nutraceuticals to enhance the biological effects of IM bio-resonance that can be used with versatility in a number of medical and anti-aging settings.
